Author, speaker and entrepreneur Robert Franklin Newkirk Jr. discovered early in his career – after being educated at some of the finest universities in America – a need to “de-educate” and “re-educate” himself. Along the way he discovered the tools, processes and systems that can help ordinary people achieve the life of their dreams, rather than just working for a living. His mission is to share this information with people of all backgrounds and abilities. After earning his bachelor’s degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he joined the U.S. Air Force as an officer testing government projects at the Space and Missiles Center in Los Angeles. He furthered his graduate work at the University of Southern California in Systems Management. After serving in the Air Force, he worked for Northrop Grumman the Aerospace Corporation as a flight test engineer. In 2006, he founded Jwahir Enterprises Inc. which has currently taken on the task of administering an Aerospace Flight Academy for high school students in the Washington D.C. area. The ultimate goal of the enterprise is to educate students to the possible careers in aviation and aerospace. He has served as a guest motivational speaker with People Helping People United Inc. as narrator to the Youth Stop the Violence Campaign in Washington D.C. He has also officiated as moderator and guest speaker for several Black History and Martin Luther King programs to include the Air Force, Intelligence Community, and the Naval Research Laboratory. He has lectured at many school functions ranging from basketball camps to science and aviation programs at various high schools in the Los Angeles and Washington D.C. area and serves on the MIT Educational Council. His extracurricular hobbies include chess, racquetball, swimming, and weightlifting.
